Mod Heritage: Elevated Menswear Golf Polos
This graduation project marks the culmination of a unique design journey undertaken in collaboration with Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Limited (ABFRL) for their premium menswear brand, Louis Philippe. The project focused on the development of a distinctive golf-polo range, encompassing two distinct diverse collections.
From the Intern to the Designer:
The project began with an internship at ABFRL, where I gained invaluable insights into the Louis Philippe brand identity and the intricacies of menswear design. This immersive experience equipped me with the foundation to embark on the design phase.
The Collections:
Collection 1: Mod Heritage - This collection reimagines classic golf-polo silhouettes with an infusion of luxurious materials and timeless design elements. Inspired by the colonial and Portuguese eras. Premium fabrics like cotton modal spandex mix and subtle pinstripes elevate the everyday polo to a sophisticated level, catering to the discerning golfer who appreciates both comfort and refined style.
Collection 2: Neo Classics - This collection embraces innovation and technical features. Breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics combined with contemporary cuts and bold color palettes create a range ideal for the performance-driven golfer seeking peak comfort and a dynamic aesthetic on the course.
Beyond Design: A Documented Journey
The project extends beyond the creation of the collections. I meticulously documented the entire design process, capturing the evolution of the concept from initial sketches to final product photography. This comprehensive documentation showcases my ability to translate inspiration into tangible design solutions.
